Would state sue Imam Bukhari?

As I mentioned in my earlier post regarding dispelling of doubts by the sacrifice of Ins. Sharma, I also cautioned and left unwritten, till the pseudosecularists..
Now since Bukhari himself has mentioned, that Inspector Sharma was killed by his own companions, and named Patil and Delhi Police chief as main conspirator
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Delhi/Imam_counters_encounter_story/articleshow/3532050.cms
and very soon our Laloo-Mulayam Brigade will endorse this conspiracy theory, is there anyone to take legal action against Bukhari. Forget about the broader implications, does not it constitute defamation to living people, and the real organization.

Why Sharma's sacrifice is more valuable than it might appear?

In any other normal, country, the supreme sacrifice of a soldier while fighting the deadly, psychopaths would have inspired multitude; but in our andher nagari such sacrifice acts as light, and do much much more. Sacrifice of Inspector Sharma should put to rest lot of leftist and pseudosecularist propaganda that the current string of blasts is conspiracy of right wing Hindu fundamentalists in order to benefit BJP. While I do not defend Bajrang dal or other Hindu fanatic organizations, and agree that they have their own sins for which they should be punished and if necessary the elements perpetrating acts of terror in them should be treated in similar fashion as these jihadi psychopaths, it is absolutely shameful that Laloo-Mulayam-leftists inorder to reap Muslim votes are ready to exonerate SIMI and deny the existence of Muslim terrorism. There are columnists like Jawed Naqavi who are raising the possibility of there not being any Indian Mujahideens and the email circulating might have originated from some elements of Hindu right (as appeared in his column in Pakistani newpaper dawn basing in some analysis from Ram Puniyani. It is quite obvious that the bomb blasts traced to Hindu fanatics should be investigated, made transparent to the public and guilty should be punished- but to say that all the jihadis being arrested are innocent, and it is vast conspiracy of being Hindu fanatics to frame them in order to reap political advantage is either highly cynical or crafty political calculation.
Sharma's sacrifice have vindicated our investigative agencies and shown the true colours of politicians claiming otherwise- and has also revealed the seriousness of the threat we are facing. It is only till our politicians or leftist columnists do not come up with another conspiracy theory explaining away Sharma's martyrdom..

Evangelising: Do we need more religion

Missionary activities by Christian groups and counter missionary activities by Hindutva has fueling the violence in Orissa and Karnataka. In many ways these episodes of lawlessness are reveals the failure of governance more than the anonymous terrorist attacks. There are various reasons cited by Missionaries for conversion, prominent of which is escaping the caste system and Hindus proclaim it to be bribery or by force. The ever existing faultlines in the society which constituted bottom strata and were equally powerless, now sensing power with the empowerment of traditionally "backwards" now assume different identities and clashes for grabbing of the resources. We have abolished caste system officially, but alas, there is no legislation to abolish, hatred rooted in the perception of other.
And we have allowed religion to occupy the space vacated by castes, and it has become major vehicle of fragmentation and hatred.
We might have asked, do we need more of the religion? Evangelical zeal definitely means bringing more religion in public area- the claim of superiority of one way over the other. The resurrection of native tribalism- the poison of nationalism and religion remains the only glue to unify society being torn apart by economic inequality and pursuit of power.
It would have been great if those walking out of caste system, would have not walked into another mental and intellectual slavery. That might have redeemed us. But that need education, that need some basic minimum security in the society, that needs trust in impartial law or constitution rather than in muscle power of one's own kind. And that needs self governance- which is something alien to us, who were slaves for centuries at the same time keeping our own slaves in the society.

Is not evangelising hatred?

The continued violence in Orissa and Karnataka between Hindus and Christians raises some important questions regarding the missionaries activities in India.
Is not all the evangelising, pursuading others to covert or inviting as Muslims say, based on hatred and intolerance of the religion whose adherents one is aiming to convert? Is not there underlying belief in evangelising religions that the prevalent religion are cult of devil worshipper at the worst or ignorant damned to hell at the best. Although missionaries of charity will proclaim all the religions lead to God, or truth, a real conviction would not put full stop to all the conversions. Can we tolerate this being practiced openly and still take action against exploding breed of reactionary Hindu fundamentalists.
If at all this should be the basis of prohibiting conversions and not the facade of "conversion by force or bribe" to prevent religious disharmony. If at all religious conversions should be banned because all religions are equally false or equally true- though some may have more troublesome practices or ideologies which should be rooted out mercilessly irrespective of which ever religion they belong to. An example of such would be abolition of sati.

Understanding of Sanskrit poets

Recently we heard lot of news regarding the toxic levels of heavy metals present in Ayurvedic medicines which has been fatal in many cases. Though many suppporters of Ayurveda are saying this is meaningless maligning of Indian traditions, and to these supporters I would like to remind that our ancient Sanskrit poets were very well aware of the often deadly nature of Ayurveda, hence this saying
"VaidyaRaja namastubhyam YamaRajsahodara Yamastu harati praNaan Vaidyo praNaan dhananincha"
Second example of their understanding is the cleverness of crow. As one of my friend Mishra ji from Sagar used to say, now scientists are discovering the tool making capacity, and other intelligent functions of crow. Indians observed it thousands of years before and wrote several stories about clever crow, the most famous being how a crow drops small stones in pitcher with very low level of water, and the water level rises, crow drinks and flies away. And let us never forget the Kakbhushundi, who narrated Ramayana to Garuda, the very symbol of all that which is auspicious, and who is immune to illusion of the Maya forever.

Who will stand up to Raj Thackrey

Who will stand upto Raj Thackrey. Ironically, though his own sirname is anglicised version of Thakare (just like my faourite author William Thackrey), his paranoid ever readiness to get offended and agitate is unmatched. Now since even Amitabh Bachhan and Jaya has apologized for the economic interests, who can stand up to anyone who threatens to take law into hands. This act of the most famous and respected bollywood couple going down will inspire thousands of Raj Thackrey across the country.
Who is going to pacify mob and tell it the function of the state? In his delusion Raj Thakrey thinks himself to be an heir of George Washington, but he is more an heir of Jinnah, who pursued divisive politics for their narrow self pursuits of power.
Probably some day the citizens of this pathetic country will realize that they are not slaves, and it is their own state, their own administration they are weakening. But that day might be very far or may never come. What has happened to our respected citizens, or they are simply bhands, court jesters in the darbar of mighty.
But where is the state, where is law, where is police?
Mob is ruling everywhere with insanity, unfortunately there is no Socrates to choose to die rather than being ruled by it.

Now what to say about this idiocy

There is huge headline on the website of Indian express today regarding apology by jaya Bachhan and regret by Amitabh Bachhan and BJP joining Raj Thakarey for slamming Jaya. Raj Thakrey has banned Jaya and Amitabh's movies in Maharashtra. I wonder how much the apology is due to genuine change of heart or it is just cowering to intimidation or economic realities. Yesterday Bal Thakarey was after Shahrukh for calling himself Dilliwala. When you bcome optimistic about the future seeing these divisive wolves aging, you find that there are new pups who have tasted blood are becoming alpha males and taking charge of the packs.
This is such a ridiculous issue, and yet these are headlines in the our andher desh and its andher nagaris. People dying and suffering in flood, children and grandparents of the country are washed away, surviving on meagre food to just hold on, crime, terrorism- no just this.
I have no sides in this studpidity. Both sides as well as those who have made it headlines and who support them are plainly stupid period.
By the way one suggestion to Raj Thakarey, Bal Thakrey and BJP: Why not ask Film industry to leave Bombay as it makes majority of films in HIndi. Why not chase all multinationals as they conduct business in English. WHy not shut down university and colleges as they teach only in ENglish. Why not shutdown all the research institutes. Why not shutdown hospitals too, as they write prescription in English, most medicines are labeled in English, and even the term hospital and doctor are English. Why not shut down airports and railway stations too, as most of the operations, and even the names of these devices are in English. Why not throw away every computer in Arabian sea as most of the operations they conduct are in English.
Would someone tell these idiots that all the languages are imperfect and workable tools and nothing more than that, and they need constant evolution through interaction, otherwise they die. It will be great if they expel out every word of other languages from Marathi, and then they will find out how viable it will be.
And may I ask Jaya ji, why someone should always speak one's mother tongue? Really, even if we are discussing nuclear physics, then too, or probably Jaya ji would never come across some other Hindi speaking having tastes in sciences or modern theories of arts and literature.
Oops! I again fell in the trap of these mindless exploiters and their mechanical followers.
Truth is every language has its own imperfections and beauty. There are certain things which are unique to each language, they can never be translated and if they are, they lost their contexts completely. Just try reading the subtitles of a film, where you know both the language of the film as well as language of the subtitles, and you will realize the fun of it.
Learning and speaking other languages enriches a person, and through the person, other languages too. After all languages are for us and not the other way round.

PS: As the latest Amitabh Bachhan ji claims that Raj is his friend. Where is the angry young man? hint: try looking for self centered, greedy, cowardly old man.

Identity politics

I read this news today in BBC about hounding out Bangladeshi Muslims by indigenous population of Assam.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7603984.stm
It is true that Bangladeshi immigrant crisis is one of the many Gorillas sitting in the room, and no one wants to talk about it except Hindu extremists- probably because no one knows what to do about it and how to do it. Ultra liberals of the society and the ultra leftists will appeal to humanism and would like to see all of them as members of one great "South Asian Identity", while at the same time supporting Kashmiri Separatism. Others, while would like to see all of them deported, would concede the impracticality of this monumental task, and may feel compassionate to the poor Bangladeshis.
I have in past written about kicking Kashmir out of Indian Union. Now, I realize that we should have done that long ago. Keeping such separatist and divisive creeps amidst our society and supporting them, and singing the praises of conjured up "kashmiriyat" of the people who lack basic "insaniyat" and who successfully carried out 'ethnic cleansing',has only watered the tree, whose seeds were planted by Muslim nationalism before independence and whose fruits we are witnessing in the incidents like the one mentioned in the above news at one hand and in the rhetoric of Raj Thakarey at the other.
The march of millions of poor Bangladeshi into India, is a testimony to the failure and hypocrisy of Islamic nationalism and lesson to all those indulge in or silently support the identity politics as well as those who ignore and tolerate it. While these agitation are politically initiated and supported by middle class or working people, poor people, the daily bread earners are mostly sidelined and are left without a voice although they constitute a majority (People living under a dollar a day are more than 50 % in India). While India has its own voiceless poor, who usually come on the street and participate in violence for just what they fail to earn on such days- a dollar paid by the organizers to show their democratic muscles. These are the poor people- completely unaware of everything- they are the ones who are beaten down daily in India, and they are the ones who come from Bangladesh. No one asked them before partitioning this land and those who asked gave them the golden dreams full if confidence- that Hindus are the only obstacle in their way of achieving the promised paradise. And they bought it, and got betrayed. And while we can not say that masters believed it completely or whether they were hypocrites just deceiving poor to get powerful in the smaller land which will only be for Muslims; one thing is certain- they were not aware what monsters they would are raising.
What about Kashmir, if it separates from India, within years, it would be another battle ground of Kashmiri Taliban (surprised! we did not hear about Pakistani Taliban before some years) and Jammu region will be flooded with the refugees trying to escape the insane Talibani jihad. It will be a poetic justice, those who ethnically cleanse, will be cleansed similarly.

Bihar floods and the role of the state

It is particularly disheartening to see the management of Kosi flood in Bihar by the state of India, and even more disheartening is the response of Indians towards this response. There are people who are stuck on the roof tops for almost a week, sourrounded by 10 ft. water, without any food or drinking water. I wonder what that means to most of our politicians- those who are paying slightest of attention to flood only to score political points. Why are they and more importantly we are not moved by the sight of sounds of this forgotten and suffering humanity? all those who are agitating for pride of Hindus or pride of Indians, all those who are celebrating our "great victory" in olympic, do not hang themselves out of shame on seeing our response to these floods. But how does that matter? Even Children not having any dry place to sleep on or to eat, not to mention any thing else. I wonder why it not outrage us as does the land transfer issue in Jammu and Kashmir? Why it not outrage us the bombing of cities by some terrorists? Why it not outrage us, as the publication of Danish cartoons or paintings by M F (Mother Fucker) Hussain? Why we not come on the street demanding for the better governance as we agitate demanding reservation and other countless trivial things?
Why don't we ask for education, for healthcare, for protection from criminals, musclemen, for law and order? Why we do not fight to reduce the infant mortality in which we are at the bottom, poverty, malnutrition, jobs, human trafficking for all. We are all ready to sacrifice these issues for immature sentimental issues, for the token of honor, which would have appealed only the medieval feudal mindset or to some very narrow mindset. We became so much driven by our narrow immediate self interests that we refuse to open our eyes and see even one step ahead of us.
What is factor for this apathy. Or may be as middle class is developing and getting to know America have found liberation in the ideology of American right which do not believe in State taking care of people, and wish for them to pull themselves up by boot strap. Does our government becoming hot over America is practicing the some version of this free market capitalism, as we practiced socialism when we were sucking USSR's dick. Do we believe this in India or there is something else going on here.
We have completely failed as a state, as a society and as humans. Floods and droughts are the most common and most severe problems faced by India, and we could not unite the two to solve them so far. We do not have developed even a primitive flood relief mechanisms. We are at the mercy of elements in the same way as we were in the paleolithic age.
Today I do not care if India remain united or breaks into millions of tiny fiefdoms run by criminals. They are those any way. Our government is just another of those criminal enterprise, who would often have facade of decent men like Manmohan singh or Vajpayee or Kalam, who is controlling everything to benefit those who are in power, but essentially it remains like a pimp and brothel cartel. Even after 50 years people are selling their children for meals. How can we expect this heartless mafia to react to misery of people suffering in flood.
But it tells a lot about we as a people too.
